Coming up on Saturday, Nov. 4, employees from the City of League City and the Galveston Bay Foundation will get together for a volunteer event at the Dr. Ned and Fay Dudney Clear Creek Nature Center. We will need volunteers to come out and work the event. The volunteers will help plant 500 native prairie plants on a 1-acre section of the prairie restoration site. These plants are being provided to the City of League City by the Galveston Bay Foundation at no cost. This event is part of the ongoing Prairie Restoration Project at the Clear Creek Nature Center and will be held from 9 – 11 a.m. Registration must be completed online in advance for anyone interested in volunteering. Spots are limited to the first 30 individuals who register.
