Nature with Kristine: Spring Birding Adventures

Join Kristine Rivers of Birding for Fun on a series of guided birding walks at local birding hot spots in search of beautiful spring migrants. Possible species include Indigo Bunting, Summer Tanager, Scarlet Tanager, Baltimore Oriole, Orchard Oriole, Red-eyed Vireo, White-eyed Vireo, Black-throated Green Warbler, Black-and-White Warbler, Northern Parula, and many more! We’ll meet on-site at a different field trip location each week; the full schedule with locations will be announced prior to the beginning of the session. Hiking distance will vary up to 2 miles, done at a relaxed pace. Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots and dress appropriately for changing weather conditions. Binoculars are recommended; loaner binoculars are available. This program is held every Tuesday from March 21 to April 11 and is for ages 14 and above. Registration can be done in person at Hometown Heroes Park or by visiting the online registration site.
